?I am very excited about working as an independent and being able to make my own decisions about the future course and direction of my company, Feldt said. ?Weve got a great location, because were in the same building as Film Workers Club and CRC, which will give our clients easy access to other post services, including telecine, editorial finishing, visual effects, graphic design and audio mixing. She added that her goal is both to continue to service her existing clients and to gain new accounts.

She worked as an assistant editor on several British features produced in South Africa with her mentors including Bill Butler, editor of the film Clockwork Orange. Segueing into commercial work, she worked with such acclaimed directors as Leslie Dektor, David Cornell and Nicholas Roeg, before forming here own post production house, Cutaways. Her work earned Clios and London International Advertising awards, as well as other honors.

Feldt moved to Chicago at the instigation of fellow editor Roger Harrison with whom she had worked in South Africa, to join his newly formed shop coincidentally named Cutaways.
