EZQuest Ships Boa DVD Burners

External drives support multiple formats By Dave Nagel
EZQuest has started shipping new models in its line of Boa DVD burners. The Boa drives come in FireWire or USB 2.0 configurations and support Mac OS 9, Mac OS X and Windows. They're available now.

The new Boa models are available in two configurations. The FIreWire version supports Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X, while the USB 2.0 version supports Windows. The FireWire version includes Pixela IMX software, which converts iMovie files to MPEG-2 and allows for DVD burning. It also includes Charismac software for burning CDs and DVDs. The USB 2.0 version includes Sonic MyDVD & DVD Burning Suite software. Both versions also include Retrospect Express for backing up data.

Both Boa models offer support for DVD-R and DVD+R (4x); DVD-RW and DVD+RW (2x); CD-R (16x) and CD-RW (8x). The models read DVD-ROMs at 12x and CD-ROMs at 32x.

Boa drives are available now for $299. For more information, visit http://www.ezq.com.
