ESRD, Tech Soft America announce multi-component Licensing Agreement(October 10, 2001)

StressCheck 6 sets a new standard for computer aided engineering by providing the most advanced FEA technology, with industry leading accuracy and reliability, delivered in an easy to use, parametric, and fail-safe environment. Furthermore, StressChecks unique infrastructure supports corporate requirements for standardization, provides a repository for corporate design knowledge, and is packaged for use by analysts and non-specialists, working as a team. Using its new Component Object Model (COM) interface, StressCheck can be integrated into a corporate engineering design environment to serve as an FEA-based replacement for outdated closed form solution methods. This release also introduces a new 3D automeshing capability, based on a 3rd party component from Simmetrix Inc., which ESRD expects will significantly broaden the market for use of the StressCheck product.
StressCheck models advanced composite material structures, homogenizes laminated ply layups in 2D and 3D as well as provides advanced post-processing capabilities to evaluate various failure criteria. Its unique p-version implementation of material and geometric nonlinear analysis may be used without model changes. The application also allows an engineer to analyze thermal problems including steady state heat transfer, radiation, and temperature dependent materials.
