Server designed for graphic arts environment By Dave Nagel
Electronics for Imaging (EFI) has announced its new EXP6000 Fiery color server. The RIP, which EFI calls its most powerful to date, is designed for the Xerox DocuColor 6060 digital color press. It's targeted toward graphic arts professionals and high-end production printing environments.

The EXP6000 is based on EFI's new Fiery Q4000 platform, which provides variable data printing support, Graphic Arts support, Intelligent Printer Data Streams and production automation and workflow management features.

The EXP6000 will be available starting July 15. Pricing is not yet available. EFI's Q4000 server technology will be on display at the October Graph Expo show in Chicago. For more information, visit
