ECD Systems Announces Indie Game Developer's Showcase

(February 15, 2006)

ECD Systems, the innovator in anti-piracy and copy protection software, announced today that entries are now being accepted for the company's first annual Independent Game Developers Showcase, a competition designed to bring greater visibility to the most innovative, creative games currently being marketed by independent developers.

ECD's showcase will recognize independent game developers as a vital creative engine within the multibillion-dollar video game industry. Up to four games will be selected for the showcase based on online submissions, and the winning titles will be available for play at ECD's booth # 6453 at the E3 conference, May 10-12 in Los Angeles. A preview, featuring a new title from independent developer Broken Attitude Studios, also will be featured at ECD's booth at the GDC conference, March 22-24, 2006, in San Jose.

"As a champion of innovative thinking when it comes to computer games, ECD has launched this program to recognize the creative vision that independent game developers bring to the industry," said ECD Systems CEO Jack Hart. "Like many indies, we are a growing start up company that shares these developers' passion for gaming, which is why we have created Digital Armor, a product that protects the integrity of developers, while also protecting the gaming experience."
