Downtown Music Publishing Announces Two New Vice Presidents(October 18, 2011)
NEW YORK, NY -- (Marketwire) -- 10/18/11 -- Following a year of unprecedented growth, Downtown Music Publishing announces the promotion of Sean McGraw to the post of Vice President, Licensing Administration and hiring of Young Hwang as Vice President, Royalties.
Mr. McGraw, who has been with Downtown since 2007, is an expert in sync licensing protocol and has been instrumental in developing many industry-wide standards and practices. Beginning his career with Cherry Lane Music Publishing in 2000, Mr. McGraw later worked with Bourne & Co and Spirit Music Group before joining Downtown as Director, Licensing Administration. In his new role, Mr. McGraw will oversee all facets of clearances and licensing while managing the company's growing administration department.
A twenty-year veteran of the music publishing industry, Ms. Hwang most recently served as Vice President, Royalties for BMG Rights Management, (formerly Cherry Lane Music Publishing) a position she held since 1999. In her new role, Ms. Hwang will oversee the company's global royalty and income tracking operations, reporting to Justin Kalifowitz, President of Downtown Music Publishing. Prior to Cherry Lane, Ms. Hwang worked with Arc Music Group and Music Sales Corporation.
