DoctorQA.com: Not Just a Directory Anymore(March 13, 2013)
Irvine, CA (PRWEB) March 13, 2013
DoctorQA.com was founded to combine the knowledge acquired from multiple successful ventures into one national, network entity. The final product is the result of the numerous previous installments:
- Beginning in 2002, the creators built the HealthNews.org online and offline publication network, including: VeinDirectory.org & trade publication VEIN Magazine, OnlineSurgery.com, Vasectomy.com, DermaNetwork.org, ScanDirectory.com, et al.
In 2009, the team began working on a mobile platform, creating one of the first physician locator iPhone applications. In 2010, they founded a legal information portal known as LawQA.com, utilizing their own unique, business model and intellectual property. In 2011, an Illinois-based, private company acquired this online publication and licensed their proprietary software. The combination of these two platforms is what led to the creation of DoctorQA.com (launched in January 2012).
DoctorQA.com was founded with the principle goal of providing a credible conduit, for the transparency and free-flow of information, by and among physicians, enabling consumers to seek and easily digest information to educate themselves about venous diseases, and allow them to make informed decisions about their healthcare providers.
DoctorQA.com is extremely accessible, providing written content on the various venous diseases and vein-related abnormalities, as well as a weekly news feed, featuring the most current news and advancements on vein treatments, causes, and procedures. Additionally, DoctorQA.com provides a wide array of videos for the public to view procedures and treatments for varicose veins before ever walking into an office.
Logging on to the website, allows viewers to engage an interactive learning platform with enriched video media about venous diseases and real-time Q&A sessions with physicians, whom they've vetted to participate in the patient portal.
The team has had a history of success by working together with technologically inclined healthcare providers to provide reliable medical information for consumers. Jason Hirchert, Director of Business Development, stated, "The internet is both, the largest medium for knowledge and a vessel for unverified facts. Consumers particularly have difficulty in determining the credibility of health information, as a result, we make it easy, ready, and accessible on all accounts."
DoctorQA's further accomplishments and achievements are outlined below:
- In 2008, their Health Publication Network was acquired by publicly traded Internet Brands (Nasdaq:INET) to serve as its Health Portal.
- Past Physician Network Partners include: Harbor-UCLA Medical Center, Memorial Hermann Healthcare System, Cooper Clinic P.A., and Mount Sinai Hospital, among over 1,000 others.
