Digital Wrinkle Remover

Retouching facial lines in Adobe Photoshop By Russell Brown
So you want to do some major retouching and get rid of your wrinkles. And you want to do a real nice job of hiding those lines on someone?s face. This is how you do it: You use the clone tool in Adobe Photoshop. The secret though is to keep the realistic look of a person by altering as few pixels as possible.

1. In Photoshop, open the image with those extra wrinkles. Select the clone tool. Now here?s the trick: We want to graft skin from the unwrinkled area of the face into the wrinkled area, but we want to alter as few pixels as possible so we can maintain a realistic look.

2. In the Options bar, choose the Lighten Mode and set Opacity to 50 percent. Hold down the Option/Alt key and click the mouse to sample from the area of the skin that has the values you?d like to see in the wrinkled area.

Lighten Mode: If you apply the Lighten Mode, any value that is lighter will not be touched, but anything that is darker will be replaced by the lighter values.
