Digital Voodoo Supports 16-Bit RGB in After Effects 5.5

CODEC update allows users to work at 16 bits per channel, output to 10-bit YUV By Dave Nagel
Digital Voodoo announced support for 16-bit RGB in Adobe After Effects 5.5. Digital Voodoo is the maker of several editing and graphics boards, including the D1 Desktop and Iridium series. The new 16-bit per channel support affects all of Digital Voodoo's D1 Desktop models.

The new support allows users to input 10-bit YUV, work in 16-bit RGB in After Effects and output to tape in 10-bit YUV.


The D1 Desktop 64 Series includes the D1 Desktop 64, D1 Desktop 64 Lite and D1 Desktop 64AV uncompressed 10-bit SMPTE 259M SDI standard-definition QuickTime video cards. The D1 Desktop 64AV sells for $3,495. The D1 Desktop 64 sells for $3,995. And the D1 Desktop 64 Lite sells for $1,495.
