Digital Voodoo Ships Real-Time D1 Card for MacD1 64RT supports real-time 10-bit uncompressed capture and playback
The D1 64RT is a 64-bit PCI card that includes 10-bit SD-SDI input and output and six channels of AES/EBU digital audio. t supports 48 kHz and 96 kHz audio and includes a sample rate converter. On the video side, it includes five real-time dissolves, real-time color correction and a programmable interface for future real-time enhancements. On the Macintosh, it also provides support for using a studio monitor in an extended deskktop configuration, as if the monitor were a computer screen. This allows users to view NTSC or PAL output from programs like Adobe Photoshop prior to bringing it into an editing program.
The D1 64RT supports Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X 10.2. Earlier this week, Digital Voodoo also announced OS X driver updates for its other cards. The D1 64RT sells for $3,495. For more information, visit http://www.digitalvoodoo.net.
