Digital-Tutors Joins Sponsor Line-up for 2005 NextoonsJoins the list of organizations supporting The Nicktoons Film Festival (June 14, 2005)
After a highly successful first season, with hundreds of entries received from around the world, Nicktoons has joined forces again with Frederator Studios to showcase the diversity of independent animated filmmaking with the renamed Nextoons: The Nicktoons Film Festival. This year, Nicktoons is proud to announce Digital-Tutors has joined the line-up of notable sponsors for the 2005 Nextoons: The Nicktoons Film Festival. Digital-Tutors, a creative training development company based in Oklahoma City, is providing several prizes to 2005 film festival winners and entries placing in the Top 10.

In its first season Nextoons awarded filmmakers Mark Simon and Travis Blaise of Orlando, Florida the $10,000 Grand Prize for their short film, Timmy's Lessons in Nature, a 2D-animated, comedic look at what not to do when venturing into the outdoors.
Submitted shorts will be chosen by a pre-selection jury and will air on Nicktoons beginning in August. A grand jury will select a $10,000 grand prize winner from the top ten films chosen by the pre-selection jury. The Festival will include a new online component allowing viewers to log-on to the Nicktoons website (www.nicktoons.com) and vote for their favorite films.
