Digital Heaven Releases Multicam Lite 1.03New lower price of $99 (December 02, 2005)
Digital Heaven (www.digital-heaven.co.uk), one of the leading creators of software for Apple's pro apps, today announced the release of Multicam Lite v1.03 at the new price of just US$99 (previously US$295).
Multicam Lite is a standalone Mac OS X application which works in conjunction with Final Cut Pro (v4.1 and later) for the input and output of sequences via XML files. With its innovative and streamlined interface, Multicam Lite makes it easier than ever to cut up to three cameras in real time. DV, DVCPRO25 or OfflineRT source clips can be directly used by the software and there are comprehensive trimming and camera swapping features built in. When the cut is finished, the XML file is imported back into FCP where all the cuts are automatically recreated ready for further effects work or output.
Pricing and availability:
The software is available now for download purchase from the Digital Heaven online store at www.digital-heaven.co.uk for US$99. A demo version is also available which offers full functionality but does not allow saving of XML files.
About Digital Heaven
Digital Heaven was founded in 2000 by ex-BBC Resources editor Martin Baker. For almost six years we provided broadcast post production facilities for clients such as the BBC, Channel Four and many independent production companies. In Summer 2003 we became the first London facility to make the switch from Avid editing systems to Apple's Final Cut Pro. At the same time we started software development, releasing our first product, EDL Mirror in September 2003. Since then we have added 12 Final Cut Plug-ins and Multicam Lite, the first multicamera editing solution for Final Cut Pro.
In October 2005 we released VideoSpace - a free widget for Mac OS X Tiger which calculates the disk space required for a given duration and codec setting. VideoSpace clocked up over 10,000 downloads in the first month of release and was featured as a macworld.com ?Widget of the Week and as a staff favourite on Apples widget download page.
November 2005 saw the release of MovieLogger for Mac OS X. This easy to use logging software for QuickTime movies is designed for non- technical users and enables export of logs to Final Cut Pro via XML.
As we enter 2006 the company is concentrating all our efforts on software products with many exciting applications currently in development.
