Digital Film Tools Releases zMatte 1.5 KeyerWorks with After Effects, Final Cut Pro, and Avid systems
Using proprietary matte extraction techniques and 16-bit processing, zMatte is designed to create mattes quickly and simply. If a scene was shot correctly, there is very little to adjust. If not, there are tools to make it look right, including multiple matte creation and manipulation using Blur, Shrink and Wrap functions. Once the key is pulled, the foreground can be color-matched to the background using sophisticated color tools in addition to isolated color suppression.
Version 1.5 adds De-artifacting to clean up compression artifacts in DV and HD footage, Light Wrapping to bring background color into the foreground element, Edge tools to color correct, blur or mix only the edge of the key and a DVE that includes corner pinning, position, rotation and shear so that the foreground element can easily be moved around.
Digital Film Tools is an offshoot of Digital FilmWorks; a Los Angeles based full-service visual effects facility specializing in feature film and television special effects. zMatte for Adobe After Effects and After Effects compatible programs, Apples Final Cut Pro, and Avid Editing Systems is available for download or purchase at www.digitalfilmtools.com at a price of $350.
