Digital Anarchy Releases Microcosm 1.1

Additional Texture Anarchy presets also released By Dave Nagel
Digital Anarchy has updated Microcosm, a 64-bit codec for QuickTime. The company has also released additional presets for its Texture Anarchy plugin for Adobe Photoshop. Both are available now for Mac OS X and Windows.

Microcosm is an RGBA codec for Apple's QuickTime designed to crunch 64-bit and 32-bit RGBA files with a lossless 13:1 compression ratio in some cases. The new 1.1 update includes minor bug fixes, including a crashing problem on dual-processor Windows systems, and also simplifies the QuickTime options dialog.

Digital Anarchy has also released a set of new presets for Texture Anarchy, a procedural texture generation system for Adobe Photoshop. These include 60 new presets and texture elements. As of press time, there were no links on the company's site to the new presets. The Mac version can be downloaded directly here, while the Windows version can be found here.

The Microcosm 1.1 release is available free of charge for current users on Macintosh and Windows systems. The full version runs $99. The new Texture Anarchy presets are also available as free downloads for Mac and Windows. For more information, visit
