Digital Anarchy Releases Flash ToolboxComponent collection supports Flash 5, Flash MX
All of the Components in The Flash Toolbox have a custom UI and support the Flash 5 player. Content can be created in Flash 5 or Flash MX, and it can be played back to users who have not yet upgraded tot he Flash 6 player, according to Digital Anarchy. The content works across browsers and across platforms as well.
The Flash Toolbox includes a variety of functions, ranging from tools for creating graphical charts to navigation to special effects. Components can also be customized and provide access to XML.
Specific Components include:
- Bar charts and pie charts. Both can be generated using XML and animated with built-in controls. Bar charts can also include custom graphics, including any kind of movie clip.
- Particle system. The Flash Toolbox includes the ability to use particles in Flash, similar to the particle systems found in compositing and effects packages for video. The particle system in The Flash Toolbox allows you to choose any movie symbol as a particle and then control the particles with physics for effects like snow, rain, flocks of birds, herds of animals and the like.
- Old Movie effect. This places dust and scratches in a Flash animation to create the effect of an old film.
- Navigation controls. These include tree navigation, scroll bars (which can resemble Mac or Windows scroll bars, including proportionality) and a pop-up select box. It also includes the ability to create hierarchical menus like those found in regular applications.
The Flash Toolbox is available for $99 for a limited time, after which it will sell for $129. It?s compatible with Flash MX and Flash 5 and is available for Macintosh, Mac OS X and Windows. For more information, visit http://www.digitalanarchy.com.
