Digidesign and M-Audio Co-sponsor REMIX Hotel New York City

Presentations and discussions featuring GrandMixer DXT, Liquid Todd, Shawn Pelton, and others (June 03, 2005)

Digidesign and M-Audio are pleased to participate as proud sponsors of Remix Hotel New York City ? three days of total technology immersion from June 3 to 5, 2005, at the School of Audio Engineering. Remix Hotel NYC, in association with REMIX magazine, will feature music production panels, product demonstrations, hands-on Pro Tools software and M-Audio product training sessions, celebrity presentations, music performances, and music industry mingling at one of New Yorks finest audio engineering schools and production facilities.

Visit Digidesign and M-Audio at Remix Hotel NYC this year and hear top artists and producers discuss their music production techniques. Digidesign- and M-Audiosponsored appearances will include internationally renowned artists and producers GrandMixer DXT (DJ/producer, Herbie Hancock), Liquid Todd (radio DJ/remixer, Talib Kweli, Groove Armada), and Shawn Pelton (Saturday Night Live band drummer, Sheryl Crow).

In addition to bringing some of the most important figures in music to Remix Hotel NYC, Digidesign will also be hosting interactive workshops featuring Digidesigns own team of professional product specialists. Attendees who visit Digidesign at Remix Hotel NYC will receive hands-on exposure to Digidesign Mbox, Digi 002 Rack, and Digi 002 audio production systems.


M-Audio is proud to offer a ?Redefining the Remix presentation featuring audio/MIDI controllers tailor-made for the electronic music community, including the Ozonic audio/MIDI keyboard interface and the brand-new Trigger Finger 16-pad MIDI drum control surface. Combined with software such as Ableton Live, M-Audio controllers allow producers to explore entirely new ways of remixing music in any style and tempo. Ableton Lives compatibility with the newly released Pro Tools M-Powered software ? which now supports the M-Audio Delta PCI-card and FireWire audio interface lines ? gives remixers even more integration, processing, and mixing options.

Learn the basics of working with Pro Tools systems, from setting up sessions and importing elements from Ableton Live projects to editing, mixing, and returning audio to Live for onstage performance. There are a limited number of hands-on Pro Tools systems for attendees to use, so sign up early for a spot. If you dont reserve a system, you can still observe this special Pro Tools training session!
