Digabit Releases the Next Generation of DocumotoIntuitive Visual Navigation for All of Your Technical Content, in One Browser Window (October 25, 2011)
DENVER, CO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/25/11 -- Digabit, Inc. has begun shipping the new "Bookshelf" release of its breakthrough web-based technical content management software-as-a-service (SAAS), Documoto. Documoto/Bookshelf takes visual navigation for technical documents to a whole new level of intuitiveness and ease of use.
"The goal was to create the most intuitive user experience possible," says Alan Sage, President of Digabit. "Humans think visually. Providing pictorial icons and visual views to navigate documents allows the user to quickly find the page or document they are looking for, with just a few clicks of the mouse. Additionally, users can flip through virtual book covers on their customized virtual bookshelves, click on intelligent advanced filters to locate items of interest to them, and even make threaded comments on any document or page."
Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) will be able to use Documoto's new Suggestive Parts Ordering feature to recommend additional parts and kits related to the item(s) being ordered, thus increasing aftermarket parts sales. Documoto learns customer buying patterns and will, over time, begin to suggest additional complementary products.
Erik VanAllen, President of Getman, a global supplier of mobile equipment to the mining industry, says, "Documoto allows us to make our parts catalogs, and other technical documentation available to our global customers 24x7x365, and in multiple languages, improving our level and quality of customer service, and making it easier for our customers to order parts from us. The visual character of Documoto helps ensure that the right part is ordered the first time, avoiding the high cost and potential downtime of an inaccurate parts order. Our customers are looking to leverage in-field product information for service procedures and online parts ordering. Going forward Documoto has the capability to integrate with our current technologies in a simple and secure fashion to globalize our aftermarket services."
