DecisionPoint Systems Commences Demonstrations of Tablet-Based Ordering Applications at National Retail Federation Trade Show(January 17, 2012)
FOOTHILL RANCH, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 01/17/12 -- DecisionPoint Systems, Inc. (OTCBB: DPSI), a leading provider of mobile and wireless systems for retailers, today has commenced showcasing tablet-based ordering solutions at the National Retail Federation (NRF) EXPO, being held in New York City through January 18.
DecisionPoint's focus is on improving productivity and enhancing the shopping experience in the retail store. DecisionPoint is exhibiting its Android-based order management solutions running on an enterprise tablet in Booth #1702. Attendance has been overwhelming, and DecisionPoint is already reporting significant interest in their mobile applications, as well as greater than expected traffic at their booth.
DecisionPoint's order management demonstration highlights two vital areas of retail operations where customer service and productivity may be improved, while also reducing costs. These demonstrations include:
- In-Aisle Ordering - DecisionPoint's tablet-based, in-aisle ordering application boosts productivity and sales and is engineered to work on virtually any tablet. The ability to enter product orders right in the aisle improves employee productivity and ensures retailers know what they have in stock, what needs to be ordered and when they will need it -- all in real-time.
- Create Your Look Application - Providing an exceptional shopping experience is vital to a retailer's success, and assisting customers on a more personalized level drives loyalty. The Create Your Look application enables store associates to assist customers with their selections, purchases and placement of orders on tablets, as they move freely about the store.
DecisionPoint is also providing additional information about their unique service offerings -- MobileCare Up and Running and MobileCare Keep it Running. Up and Running provides all of the services and support needed to get a mobile computing system up and running in an easy-to-order bundle and Keep it Running provides all of the support services needed to keep mobile systems running and delivering results.
