DMN Newswire--2009-11-10--
Hanover/Moscow. Highlights include CLIPSTER's cutting-edge features like 3D DCI Mastering as well as full quality 4K RED workflows in real time. At booth A60, DVS sends clear signals to Russian broadcasters with its new multi-channel video server VENICE. DVS develops and delivers solutions for time-saving and future-proof workflows for broadcast, post production and presentation, addressing the Russian markets by exhibiting from November 17th to 20th at NATEXPO and launching its website in Russian. With its latest developments, CLIPSTER makes real-time processing of various RAW data a reality; CLIPSTER not only supports RED RAW data, but also ARRIFLEX D-21's ARRIRAW and RAW material originating from the Phantom camera. CLIPSTER's remarkable new hardware decodes and debayers e.g. RED RAW files in full quality at 4K 12 bit RGB mode, and all of CLIPSTER's real-time effects can be used up to 4K. Generating digital deliverables in high-speed, CLIPSTER conforms RAW files and provides complete camera parameter settings for adjustment at any time.
CLIPSTER now enables the generation of DCI Masters with stereoscopic content. 3D DCI projects are easily processed with the DI workstation. CLIPSTER merges left eye and right eye image data, creating a stereoscopic video track in the timeline which can be edited as regular video material. CLIPSTER even has the ability to create secure 3D DCPs in high speed.
DVS introduced a product line especially suited for the broadcast market with the recent debut of its multi-channel video server VENICE. Equipped with an easy to use remote user interface for Windows, Mac OS, and Linux, VENICE offers an open file system structure supporting all SAN interfaces. VENICE also enables real-time capture and play-out of Avid DNxHD, Panasonic DVCPRO, and Sony XDCAM material. New features including four independent video channels, run-down lists, intelligent global presets, and support of Panasonic AVC-Intra position VENICE as the core of a distribution environment. VENICE provides fast, consistent workflows with compressed video formats. Different data formats can be converted and distributed in production environments on-the-fly.
