DNF Controls Shows New Products at IBC

Highlights Analyst, DMAT-O, Tally and more (June 30, 2004)

DNF Controls will be showcasing a number of new products and solutions at the upcoming IBC2004 show.

NEW Products for IBC2004 include:

The Analyst
The Analyst allows users to isolate, identify, and resolve RS422 and RS232 interface problems quickly and easily. It is specifically designed to help experts and non-experts alike to simplify the testing of cable runs between floors or between buildings, verify RS422 and RS232 signal paths, or detect RS422 to RS232 adapter problems. A compact, handheld device with an easy-to-read four-line-by-40-character display, eight-key keyboard, and RS422 and RS232 connectors, The Analyst is the first product of its kind to offer such a high level of functionality in one simple, cost-effective package.

New Features for the ST304-DSR1K-T Slow Motion Controller
In live sports and broadcasts, every second counts. The compact and flexible ST304-DSR1K-T slow motion controller provides fast, easy, reliable, and affordable VTR-like control of Sony's DSR-DR1000 DVCAM stream-based hard-disk recorder. Based upon the ST300 Slow Motion Controller platform, the ST304 adds a four-line display and the ability to create, save, and recall clips. The controller also features a T-bar for fast, simple, and smooth slow motion instant replay.

To meet the challenges of expanding or changing broadcast operations, DNF's FLEX CONTROL NETWORK uses modular, Ethernet-based, distributed control technology to deliver reliable, flexible, real-time machine control that meets the customer's control requirements.

VTR Control
DNF will showcase its new Flex Control VTR Control module. Basic control features include record, play, stop, rewind, fast-forward, jog, shuttle, slomo, loop play, and search-to-time. The new module supports shared control with control of one to eight VTRs from one DNF Flex Control CP20 control panel. Control can be individual or ganged.

Clip Control
DNF will also showcase its new Flex Control Clip Control module at IBC2004. With Clip Control, Flex Control users can load and play video clips on video servers and DDRs easily, within Flex's Ethernet-based, distributed control environment. Operators can view a list of clips in the video server, select, load, and play them, as well as loop, create, and record clips. The Clip Control module supports Odetics protocol-controlled servers and DDRs.

DMAT-O Sports Controller
First showcased at NAB2004, DNF's DMAT-O Sports Controller, designed to support Odetics protocol-based video servers, is now available in two new configurations, two-in/one-out or two-in/two-out, in addition to the original four-in/two-out model.

Tally Interface Box
Also being showcased is the Tally Interface Box with Tally Intelligence (combinatorial logic) for safe and easy sharing of tallies and GPIs between mobile production trucks, production facilities, and broadcast facilities.
