DIAGNOS and Eskay Mining Inc. to Develop Targets for Precious and Base Metals on Eskay Project(January 13, 2011)
BROSSARD, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 01/13/11 -- DIAGNOS inc. ("DIAGNOS" or "the Corporation") (TSX VENTURE: ADK), a leader in the use of artificial intelligence and advanced knowledge-extraction techniques, announced today that it has signed a contract with Eskay Mining Inc. ("Eskay") for the analysis of a geophysical survey of 130,000 acres on their property located in the Stewart region surrounding Barrick Gold Corp.'s property in British Colombia.
The Corporation will use its CARDS system (Computer Aided Resources Detection System) which is used to identify areas with high similarities to known mineral deposits. "We are pleased to have been chosen to provide our services using our proprietary technology", said Michel Fontaine, Vice President - Business Development.
"Eskay Creek has always looked like a Cadillac among mines. Indeed it ended up becoming one of the most prolific mines in the world, and at one stage was the second richest gold mine in Canada, and the fifth largest silver producer in the world", said Mac Balkam, CEO, Eskay Mining.
In total Eskay Mining Corp holds 46,400 hectares of mineral tenure beside and south of the Eskay Creek Mine. Work by other companies to the East and West include efforts to put mines into production. As BC is a mining friendly jurisdiction, focus is coming back to our region.
