DFT Releases 55mm 3.0Filter suite produces camera, lens and lab process effects
55mm includes a suite of filters designed to simulate camera and lens effects, as well as optical lab processes. New filters in version 3.0 for Photoshop include Black Mist, Center Spot, Combined Grad, Cool Mist, Diffusion, Light!, Overexpose, Ozone, Selective Grad, Streaks and Warm Mist. Other versions include 17 new plugins: Black Mist, Center Spot, Color Correct, Combined Grad, Cool Mist, Diffusion, Fast Blur, Grain, Light!, Matte Generator, Overexpose, Ozone, Selective Color Correct, Selective Grad, Streaks, Temperature and Warm Mist. The software supports both 8- and 16-bit operation. Other new features include:
- Blurs now have Horizontal and Vertical blur parameters.
- Enhanced Glow Type parameters.
- Warm/Cool parameter added.
- HLS Highlights parameter added for controlling the amount of Highlight tinting in Tint parameter groups.
- New Black and White parameter for the Infra Red and Night Vision plugins.
- New algorithm for Selective Soft Focus.
55mm 3.0 is available now for Mac OS 9, Mac OS X and WIndows systems for $145 for the Photoshop version and $295 for versions that support Adobe After Effects (and compatible hosts), Avid systems and Apple Final Cut Pro.
