Cycling '74 Ships Jitter for Mac OS X

Software adds 3D, video support to Max/MSP By Dave Nagel
Cycling '74 has released Jitter for Mac OS X. Jitter is an additional collection of objects for working in the Max/MSP graphical programming environment, designed for live multimedia performances.

Jitter is a set of 120 new objects for Mac/MSP that includes components for working with video and 3D graphics, as well as matrices for expressing data in rows and columns. (These can include text, video, still images, OpenGL-based 3D geometry, particles, voxels and audio.

The software is real-time and interactive and supports DV I/O and camera control. It also provides multiple monitor support and the ability to create standalone applications. A free runtime will be available for running any Max/MSP application.

Jitter is available now for Mac OS X free for registered users of the Mac OS 9 version. Upgrades for existing Max/MSP users run $395. The full version of Jitter with Max and MSP runs $850. For more information, visit
