Corel Updates Graphics SuiteService pack offers updated filters, improved stability
Suitewide updates in the new service pack include overall improvements to Latin and Asian operating systems, improvements to the overall workspace and improvements to stability. It also offers several updated filters with enhancements and fixes to existing problems, including Publish to PDF, SVG Export, TIFF Export, PNG Export, CPT Export, Photoshop Export and GIF Export.
Individual applications within the suite also receive specific enhancements, including CorelDraw itself, which adds improvements to workspace customization and a Mac-specific fix for palettes that would become inaccessible when customizing the workspace. Other fixes include:
- Symbols can be copied from one library to another;
- The Pen tool no longer deletes a path node when double-clicking on it;
- Eraser tool settings are retained as expected;
- Refresh issues with the Pen tool have been resolved;
- Fixes for the text engine;
- Fixes for document and object controls
Photo-Paint also gains several improvements, including fixes for brush controls, the crop tool, rollovers and Web export. Finally, RAVE 2 gains an improvement to importing, allowing for the use of the Enter key when placing an imported file on the stage.
