Conference Features Visualization Technology for Business IntelligenceSRI Los Angeles, Feb. 11-12 (December 26, 2001)
Until recently, visualization was considered more of an adjunct than an essential element of business intelligence. However, advanced visualization software for GIS and CAD-CAM is being combined with data mining, data warehousing and knowledge management software to create more advanced business analytical and visualization systems.
Using visualization tools, companies can transform raw data for visual business intelligence, for example to fine-tune marketing strategies, assess competitive intelligence, or identify new supply-chain efficiencies.
Speakers include some of the big names in the field -- including Bill Braddy of Schneider Logistics, Greg Beedy of Computer Associates, and Erik Thomsen of Dimensional Systems, among many others.
Rounding out the conference are case studies by enterprise users, discussing the real world applications for financial services, national supply-chains, online retail, and in large government agencies such as the Department of Defense.
The conference is designed for business intelligence decision-makers, including executives using business intelligence for sales and marketing, knowledge management, CRM, and ERP.
