Breathing new, animated life into the world of sports promos, Concrete Pictures and CBS Sports have teamed up to bring television audiences ?The Pixel People. This spirited campaign - which stars a host of animated characters in humorous off-the-wall skits - was created to promote the new season of ?The NFL Today, CBS Sports long-running NFL pre-game show. Concrete Pictures creative team put a retro-cool / lo-fi / Atari-like blend of animation and production behind the clever, offbeat concept, which was developed by CBS Sports Advertising and Promotion Executive Producer Joellyn Lankin and Senior Writer/Producer Nancy McColgan.

Viewers tuning in throughout August and September will see the :10, :20 and :30 spots and undoubtedly meet such offbeat Pixel People as "The Blimp Dudes" (voiced by Two and a Half Men's Charlie Sheen and Jon Cryer), "Footballhead Guy," "The Hippie Chick," "The Yuppie Lady," "The Cheerleader" and "The Football Family" - each animated with a campy old-school flair yet packed with plenty of modern attitude.

"The CBS Sports on-air promotion team presented us with a strong and witty concept from which we simply drew artistic inspiration. They made the job easy."
