Concord Appoints Oceania Distributor
US based Concord Corporation has announced the appointment of the Zephyr Group (who have offices in both Melbourne and Brisbane) as its distributor for the Oceania region. Trading under the Concord Digital banner, the company will have distribution rights in all channels for the Oceania region.
Concord cameras are now sold in over 25,000 retail outlets worldwide. It is partnering with Concord Digital to introduce the range to the Oceania markets. Concord views this partnership with Concord Digital as strategic, and is confident that the appointment will complement the 34 million Concord cameras sold last year.
Amongst its accomplishments, Concord Corp. ranked the 25th best small company in America on Forbes Magazine's List of "200 Best Small Companies in America. Concord also ranked the 20th Fastest-Growing Company on Fortune Magazine's List of "America's 100 Fastest-Growing Companies and have won many prestigious awards including 'Supplier of Excellence' by Wal-Mart Stores, Inc.
Concord Digital will bring to market a broad range of high quality, appropriately priced Digital Cameras from VGA to 5 Megapixels, incorporating multiple combinations of optical and digital zoom options to suit the market and its price points.
Two of Concord Digitals directors, Gary Clark and Ian Maguire have over thirty years in the imaging industry and Concord Digitals first quarter sales exceeded A$1.5 million and have strong market focussed strategies that will bring steady sales growth throughout the year and beyond.

David is the owner and publisher of Australian Videocamera. He has a background in media dating back to 1979 when he first got involved with photojournalism in motorsport, and went from there into technology via a 5 year stint with Tandy Computers.
