Company Culture Lands Spigit a Spot on Best Places to Work in the Bay AreaCompany in Hot Space Recognized by San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal (April 20, 2012)
PLEASANTON, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 04/20/12 -- Spigit, the leader in social innovation software and services, has been named to the San Francisco Business Times and the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal's 2012 Best Places to Work in the Bay Area. The award, based on employee satisfaction surveys, was presented to employers with the most engaged workforce and employee-centric culture in the area.
"Leadership isn't exclusive to title," said Paul Pluschkell, CEO and founder, Spigit. "It emerges from commitment to making a difference, and that is what our technology and we as a company empower employees to do, no matter what their role. To win a spot as a best place to work based on our employees' feedback is testimony to this. The talented team we have at Spigit is what differentiates us and makes us the leader in the social innovation space."
Spigit continues on a path of growth, with 2011 marking a 132 percent year-over-year increase in revenue and the onboarding of nearly 100 new brand name clients. Momentum will continue with the upcoming product launch of its new free internal crowdsourcing platform, icon, in early May.
Spigit was named one of the top 25 companies of its size in a ceremony at the Hilton San Francisco on Thursday night. The Best Places to Work in the Bay Area ranking is based on a satisfaction survey of each company's employees. Each company's score is determined by employee responses to questions covering a wide range of topics.
Currently in its ninth year, the 2012 Best Places to Work project involved surveying employees at more than 300 Bay Area companies to find those companies whose employees gave them the highest ratings. Employees at those companies were given multiple-choice surveys that resulted in the rankings reported. Results of those surveys were tabulated by research partner Quantum Workplace.
