Colouring King Kong

With much discussion of late regarding colour (the effect of physics not the software Apple picked up recently in a garage sale) I thought it worth re-visiting this video which looks at the colour grading process used by Peter Jackson on King Kong.<br><br><embed src="" autoplay="false" controller="true" type="video/quicktime" scale="tofit" pluginspage="" height="241" width="400"> <br>Colour grading - the manipulation of colour tones within an image for particular aesthetic and emotional effcet - is nothing new to cinema (filmmakers have always played with the development of film stock to achieve a desired 'look') but what has evolved that changes the traditional structure of cinema process is the universal flexibility of colour grading delivered on the back of binary digits.<br>
