Coach praised after Ohio school shooting speaks

Coach viewed as hero after deadly Ohio school shooting says he wishes he could have done more By The Associated Press

CHARDON, Ohio (AP) ' The assistant football coach praised for chasing a gunman from an Ohio high school cafeteria says he wishes he could have done more and thinks the real heroes are the people who responded to the scene.

Three students were killed and two were seriously hurt in the shootings Monday at Chardon High School, about 30 miles east of Cleveland.

Coach Frank Hall says he wants the victims' families to know that he was with the victims and wiped their tears. He says they're still in his thoughts and prayers.

Hall spoke after charges were filed Thursday in juvenile court against the 17-year-old suspect, T.J. Lane. It's the first step in proceedings that could see Lane charged as an adult and facing the possibility of life without parole if convicted.
