Cloud Nineteen Expands Audio ServicesNames O?Donoghue, Merritt, and Greenberg staff Composers/Producers (December 02, 2004)
Cloud Nineteen, a full-service DVD production and post-production studio specializing in ?Everything DVD, has expanded its creative team with the additions of Danny ODonoghue, Bray Merritt, and Dave Greenberg as Staff Composers and Music Producers, under the leadership of Cloud Nineteens Partner/Director of Audio, Michael Tucker. Cloud Nineteens expanded audio department offers its DVD and post-production clients multi-track, multi-channel audio including 5.1 & 7.1 Dolby Digital and DTS, as well as original music composition, scoring, sound design and mixing to picture. Also, Cloud Nineteen has been providing director and actor commentary production, including recording, editing and mixing, to clients with much success.
Additionally, the company is equipped with Sonic Scenarist & Sonic DVD Creator workstations as well as DVD Studio Pro, Sony Digital VTRs, an AJA IO based uncompressed Final Cut Pro editing system, and all the essentials necessary for feature film editing. The company specializes in offering its clients the full spectrum of DVD services, including project consultation and conceptualization, still and animated menu page design, cinematic quality MPEG-2 NTSC & PAL VBR video encoding, interactive menu programming, scene indexing, and an intense and thorough Quality Control (QC) phase.

About Danny ODonoghue
Danny (24) is Co-founder of MAD Notes Productions, a successful Los Angeles based music production team. He is a talented burgeoning vocalist, songwriter and producer and specializes in versioning music for major motion picture DVD titles.
Danny first came on to the music scene in 1998 in an Irish based band, MyTown. When he was 17, MyTown was signed to Doug Morris (CEO-Universal Music) in what was one of the biggest deals for an unsigned band ever. In the same year, Dannys talent and vision for music encouraged EMI Music Publishing to sign him to a publishing deal. After extensively touring the world for nearly 3 years, he and his production partner set up a recording studio complex in Orlando in 2001 concentrating on the writing, production and development of new talent. Danny has proven to be immensely versatile, having material released in nearly every format and genre of music including records, commercials, DVDs, movie trailers, soundtracks, remixs, and more recently logo and sound design for major corporations.
Signing with Zomba Music Publishing in late 2003, Danny is fast becoming a well-known and respected name throughout the business. Relocating to LA in February of 2004, he had been freelancing alongside Michael Tucker at Cloud Nineteen while still actively producing and writing songs.
About Bray Merritt
Bray Merritt brings a decade of experience in the music industry to Cloud 19. Before spending over two years of his career as studio manager for Wright International Records and Entertainment, he served as an assistant technician at Transcontinental Studios in Orlando, Florida. His extensive knowledge of MIDI programming and sequencing has given him the opportunity to work on some of pop musics top selling albums and has achieved both Gold and Platinum albums for projects he has worked on.
Bray is known as a multi-talented asset to many production teams and studios in the country. His experience as an audio engineer has evolved him into a producer, songwriter, and sound designer. Brays involvement in Cloud 19 is based on his broad spectrum of knowledge and experience in the entertainment industry. Along with the cutting-edge technology that he uses, Bray is also dedicated to the highest level of customer service and satisfaction.
About Dave Greenberg
Dave Greenberg, an accomplished music producer and composer, has been playing music much longer than he has been recording it. Since age 12, he has been composing music on the guitar and piano. He studied music composition at Montclair State College and the University of Miami, later earning a BA in music from New York University. With a background in music production and songwriting, his start in the professional music industry was the successful and critically lauded Between the 1 and the 9 by Patti Rothberg. Since then, he has created musical works as an independent record producer, engineer, and songwriter for many labels such as EMI Records, Hollywood Records, Virgin Records, RCA Records, Sony Music, Atlantic Records, and Jive Records. His first gig was an internship at SoundWorks Recording Studios in NYC where he learned the basics of recording while having the opportunity of working on Madonnas Erotica. One year later, he went straight from interning to producing major label records for EMI.
Over the years, Dave has had the opportunity to learn many of the technologies involved in the recording process. Today he works mostly on Logic Audio and Digidesigns Pro Tools. His diversity has enabled him to perform as a session guitar player, piano player, and drum programmer on several major label releases for recording artists such as Patti Smyth, Idina Menzel, Patti Rothberg, and Snow. He has also produced several independent and major label projects at the Hit Factory, River Sound, Battery Studios, Right Track Recording, Sony Music Studios, Electric Lady, and Capital Records. Recently Dave found a niche freelance composing and creating underscore for projects at Cloud Nineteen, working on projects for DEJ Productions inc. (Blockbusters film acquisition division,) Lions Gate Entertainment, and many others.
About Michael Tucker
Michael Tucker is a partner in and serves as the Director of Audio for Cloud Nineteen. Michael has an engineering and production background, having the opportunity to work on almost 20 Gold & Platinum albums and on some of pop musics biggest acts including *N Sync, Britney Spears, and Backstreet Boys, to name a few. In 2001 Michael was nominated for a Grammy for Record of the Year (*NSync ?Bye, Bye, Bye.)
From 1995-2000, Michael played an influential role in developing Orlandos music scene. He helped build and develop many studios and their staff including Trans-Continental Studios, home of the pop explosion. Simultaneously, he built close working relationships with Trans-Continental Records, Wright Entertainment Group, Jive Records and RCA Records. Michael moved to NYC in 2000 to work closely with Jive Records and Zomba Music, along with various other labels and artist to engineer, mix and produce many records. In the summer of 2001, Michael produced a song for the artist ?Snow (of ?Informer fame) that climbed its way to #2 on the Canadian radio charts. A song that he co-wrote with Snow was nominated for a Juno in the category ?Song Of The Year
In 2003, Michael moved to Los Angeles to broaden the scope of his career. Along with his role at Cloud 19, Michael is founding partner in and CEO of 353 Entertainment, a Los Angeles based entertainment management firm. He plays a key role in talent management and artist development with 353, and also managing and developing Producers and Engineers using his 10 years of industry experience. Along with developing several new and innovative projects for his various companies, he is also setting up the 353 Creative Alliance, a non-profit organization designed to help develop and mentor young talent and find outlets to help them realize their dream. Michael has also served on the NARAS Grammy Engineering Craft Committee since 2003.
