Sponsored skydive in aid of the entertainment software charity (June 18, 2004)

Leading British games developer Climax today announced an ambitious fundraising challenge which is set to raise money for the Entertainment Software Charity. A sponsored skydive will take place on Friday 30th July and is open to anyone from the games industry, including friends and family, as long as they have a head for heights.

Participants are asked to raise individual sponsorship amounting to a minimum of 400 plus a fee of 195 to cover their Tandem, Accelerated Freefall or Static Line jump. For an additional 85 you can even have the whole experience captured on video!

The event is being organised in association with one of the leading skydive companies in the UK, Skydive Aurora and will take place at Brackley in Northants. Don't worry if you are a skydiving virgin as instructors will be on hand throughout the day, all of whom are full-time experienced skydivers, qualified under both the British parachute Association and United States Parachute association.

Karl Jeffery, CEO of Climax said: "Sky Diving seemed to be the ideal way to combine a fun activity with the worthy cause of the Entertainment Software Charity (ESC).
