Clarity Introduces the First True Digital Sign at InfoCommCoolSign iS60 integrated digital sign targeted at retail and public venue markets (June 08, 2005)
At InfoComm, Clarity Visual Systems further strengthens its digital signage market leadership position by launching the CoolSign iS60. This is an all digital, all-in-one messaging solution that has been engineered from the ground up to meet the needs and rigorous demands of the retail and public venue markets.
The first in a new family of networked digital signs, the iS60 (see booth 7919) is a free-standing unit (in portrait orientation), configured with 60-inch diagonal screen technology and powered by CoolSign player software, that can easily be integrated into any digital signage network running CoolSign software. Sold under the CoolSign brand and available in single or dual-sided display formats, it greatly simplifies installation in venues such as retail stores, malls, airport concourses and public meeting spaces. Simply plug in the iS60 sign, configure it with the easy-to-use remote, connect it to the network and within seconds it comes alive with content.
"A flexible, plug and play sign solution is what public venue marketers want most today as they strive to communicate to their audiences in ways that are both economical and impactful," said Paul Gulick, Clarity's CEO. "We are responding very aggressively with true digital signs, such as the iS60, that comprise all of the necessary functionality in an attractive, robust package tailored to the environment particularly the retail setting and based on the optimal display technology for that application."
The iS60 is an enhanced version of the 60-inch sign originally developed by CoolSign for installation in shopping malls across the U.S. While the iS60 uses plasma display technology, additional CoolSign integrated sign models are already being developed that will leverage Clarity's core LCD and rear projection display technologies.
"Every installation is unique," offers Gulick, "Clarity's great strength is in matching display technologies to user requirements and providing unique, high performing solutions."
List price of the iS60, including integrated audio, wireless networking capability and all software licensing is $19,995 for a single-sided sign and $27,995 for a double-sided sign.
Designed to replace traditional light box media, the iS60 sign is supported by the CoolSign client services group based in Burlingame, Calif. Offering everything from system design and installation to content development and network integration, CoolSign operates as an AV dealer's outside resource for digital sign design and engineering, project management, procurement and integration and installation and training.
Clarity's expanded InfoComm presence reflects its rapidly growing family of products and solutions. Among these are the latest versions of its popular Lion, Puma, Bobcat and Bay Cat displays, as well as a new line of display solutions it is offering internationally, as a result of its recent acquisition of Synelec.
