Cinedigm Entertainment Group Bolsters Executive Ranks With Hire of Vincent Scordino as VP of Acquisitions

Company Simultaneously Promotes Emily Rothschild to Director/Acquisitions and Kristin Harris to Director/Theatrical Acquisitions (July 18, 2012)

LOS ANGELES, CA -- (Marketwire) -- 07/18/12 -- Cinedigm Entertainment Group, a division of Cinedigm Digital Cinema Corp. (NASDAQ: CIDM) has named Vincent Scordino as Vice-President of Theatrical Acquisitions.

Scordino, a veteran acquisition executive, was most recently at Millennium where he led negotiations in acquiring films including Richard Linklater's "Bernie," Oren Moverman's "Rampart," and Elgin James's "Little Birds," among others. Previously, he was an executive at Apparition where he was involved in the acquisition of Jean-Marc Vallée's "The Young Victoria" and Nash Edgerton's "The Square." Scordino began his career in acquisitions at Picturehouse after working as an agent at Sandra Marsh Management. Scordino will report to Cinedigm Entertainment Group co-President Susan Margolin.

The company also announced internal promotions, including Emily Rothschild as Director of Acquisitions and Kristin Harris as Director of Theatrical Acquisitions.

At New Video, Rothschild oversees all acquisitions for Docurama Films, New Video's acclaimed label of award-winning documentaries. Additionally, she acquires content for theatrical, DVD, VOD and digital release across New Video's various brands and for the company's industry-leading digital aggregation arm. Rothschild joined New Video in January 2011, and was instrumental in such acquisitions as the Sundance award-winning "The Invisible War," Academy Award-nominated "Hell and Back Again," "Being Elmo," and "Woody Allen: A Documentary." Prior to joining New Video, Emily served as Director of Marketing and Distribution for Arthouse Films, where she worked on the theatrical releases of several acclaimed documentaries, including the Academy Award-nominated "Waste Land" and "Jean-Michel Basquiat: The Radiant Child." She began her career at THINKFilm.


Harris is a former creative executive at Overture Films where she worked on the development and acquisition of the company's slate of films including "The Men Who Stare At Goats," "The Crazies," "Sunshine Cleaning" and "Law Abiding Citizen." Harris, who began her career at Starz Media, joined Cinedigm in 2011 from Cinema Management Group (CMG), where she helped to oversee their narrative feature acquisitions. At Cinedigm she has worked closely with CEO Chris McGurk and the content group, playing a role in the acquisition of several of Cinedigm's titles including "Like Water," "Citadel" and "In Our Nature."
