Chef Big Shake Heats up 2012 Summer Grilling Season

(May 21, 2012)

NEW YORK, May 21, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- CBS Foods, Inc, specialty purveyors of gourmet seafood dishes with the everyday consumer in mind, announces that the brand is scheduled to make its QVC® debut. Founder Chef Big Shake has created a delicious, seafood-based alternative to the traditional beef burger prime for barbecue season –The Original Shrimp Burger. He will introduce the shrimp burger during his launch on Monday, May 21 at 5 PM (ET). The Original Shrimp Burgers (8 four-ounce burgers) are scheduled to air during QVC's "Grilled to Perfection" broadcast.

In May 2011, Shawn "Chef Big Shake" Davis pitched the panel of investor "Sharks" (Mark Cuban, Barbara Corcoran, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John and Kevin O'Leary) on season 2 of the hit ABC show Shark Tank, requesting a $200,000 investment for his company's flagship product – The Original Shrimp Burger by CBS Foods. Despite not getting an offer from the Sharks, Chef Big Shake secured over $500,000 from private investors. Noted as "the one that got away" by Mark Cuban, Chef Big Shake reappeared in a follow-up episode that ran in February 2012, highlighting missed opportunities for the Sharks.

"The late May launch of the Shrimp Burgers on QVC is ideal timing since it is when Americans are looking to gear up for grill season," said Davis. "Our Original Shrimp Burgers are the perfect way to feed America's growing seafood appetite this summer and make a delicious and healthy addition to every barbecue. We believe it is the prime time to reach national consumers and are excited to see the response!"

The Original Shrimp Burgers are packed with juicy domestic shrimp and made from the highest quality ingredients. Offering diners a healthy, low-calorie and low-fat meal, each patty blends together succulent shrimp, fresh peppers and over 20 spices, to create a divinely delicious burger. It pairs perfectly with all traditional BBQ condiments and can be enjoyed on a hamburger bun, in salads and any way traditional burger dishes are served. The Original Shrimp Burger is available in four flavors: Original, Jalapeno, Cajun, and Teriyaki.

Davis' first creation was The Original Shrimp Burger. Other delicious creations from the line include Lobster Sliders, Lobster Pot Pies and Lobster Mac & Cheese. For more information about CBS Foods, Inc. and Chef Big Shake, visit
