Certeon Expands Channel Footprint to EMEASigns Hammer as Distributor of Award-Winning WAN Optimization Solutions (November 01, 2011)
BURLINGTON, MA -- (Marketwire) -- 11/01/11 -- Certeon, the application performance company, today announced a partnership with dedicated storage distributor Hammer. The Europe-wide agreement calls for Hammer to resell Certeon's aCelera solution amongst its comprehensive storage portfolio. The partnership promises improved speed and efficiency for customers of WAN-based backup and replication throughout Europe.
Certeon offers a compelling, virtualized and cost-effective solution to substantially accelerate the performance of any application, for any user, on any device, on any network.
By adding Certeon's suite of software-based solutions, aCelera, to its product portfolio, Hammer has enhanced its Wide Area Network (WAN) and underpinning DR replication offerings for customers that require global application acceleration, as well as providing integration opportunities for WAN acceleration with other vendor's solutions such as Dell, NetApp and HP.
aCelera delivers application acceleration through software deployed as a virtual appliance, and provides a more scalable, flexible, cost-effective, and manageable solution for IT managers and their remote users than traditional, hardware-based application acceleration, or first generation WAN optimization approaches. aCelera software improves application response time and lowers network bandwidth requirements by up to 95 percent without proprietary hardware.
The aCelera portfolio includes: aCelera Enterprise and aCelera Windows, aCelera Mobile, a client for optimized remote worker laptops, and aCelera Sync for more efficient storage backup and recovery over the WAN.
Peter Dougherty, CEO of Certeon, said, "The aCelera platform is the most flexible and scalable solution for our partners, as well as their customers. Certeon offers a solution for every customer use case: from virtual appliance, Windows software, to a physical appliance. When Hammer's resellers approach a prospective customer and explain how aCelera is packaged, and the performance and scalability it offers, they can achieve a 95 percent success rate on the sale and an engagement changes from tactical to strategic, from replication to future requirements for accelerating use cases such as on-boarding to the cloud. This is a win for Hammer, their resellers and their customers."
Jason Beeson, solutions director at Hammer, said, "Certeon's solutions are a compelling addition to our storage offering because they integrate well with other vendors' portfolios and are especially relevant with complementary technologies such as the Dell solutions which we offer, thus, allowing customers to maximize their existing IT resources and networking capabilities."
"We look forward to bringing the aCelera range to market and providing resellers with an important new solution for their customers who have network efficiency challenges."
In conjunction with the launch of their partnership, Hammer and Certeon have announced a number of benefits for resellers:
