Carousel Industries to Lead Discussion About Unified Communications Strategy at Enterprise Connect in Orlando on March 27thEd Wadbrook to Present "Technology in Search of a Customer: Critical Factors to Consider for Your UC Strategy" (March 06, 2012)
EXETER, RI -- (Marketwire) -- 03/06/12 -- Carousel Industries, a leader in data networking and converged communications, announced that it will present a session about critical factors that need to be considered when developing a unified communications (UC) strategy at the upcoming Enterprise Connect conference, occurring between March 26 and 29 in Orlando, Florida.
The session, entitled "Technology in Search of a Customer: Critical Factors to Consider for Your UC Strategy," will be conducted by Edward Wadbrook, vice president, applications and collaborative solutions, Carousel Industries, and will explore decisions that need to be made in regards to unified communications mobility networks, platform-agnostic scenarios and the need for a holistic device management solution.
"It is critically important to have a comprehensive strategy in place before deploying a UC solution," said Wadbrook. "Since UC solutions encompass so many different technologies and require significant amounts of bandwidth and network capacity, there needs to be a clear set of expectations of what is needed before the project gets underway in addition to having the technical know-how required to complete each phase of the solution. A variety of topics related to UC strategies will be covered at the session, including how infrastructure readiness can support video communications and how to efficiently integrate desktops, telepresence and mobile platforms securely. Additionally, Wadbrook will speak about the impact cloud-based collaboration services and virtualization has on unified communications, and how they must factor into a sound UC strategy.
