Cambridge Announces Animo 5.02D animation system adds effects, enhanced scanner support
Animo 5.0 will add a number of new features in the areas of workflow, effects and input. In the area of workflow, these include support for meta information about Animo files; a new configuration application for setting up output devices and other parameters; automatic identification of batch servers; and support for JPEG, PNG and RLE-compressed TGA file output.
Animo 5.0 also includes new effects, such as turbulence (for cloud-like effects) and random noise. It also offers new screen, divide and overlay blending modes. Other new features include:
- SANE drivers for extended support of scanners in Mac OS X;
- 1-bit scanning;
- Support for Lightfoot round-hole pegbar;
- Updated controls in ImageProcessor and InkPaint modules;
- Ability to save drawings as Adobe Illustrator files;
- Optional batch rendering.
