California ETP-Supported Training for Post-Production Employees Returns to Video Symphony(April 05, 2012)
Burbank, California (PRWEB) April 05, 2012
Video Symphony Pro School for Media Production was recently awarded a new contract to provide subsidized digital media training to professionals employed by California studios and post-production companies.
The two-year $268,000 contract was awarded to Video Symphony by California's Employment Training Panel (ETP).
The goal of ETP contracts is to help keep California companies competitive. Up-to-date, high-productivity workers enable companies to compete effectively with other states and nations. The State of California provides funds to ETP for allocation to select training centers and employers.
Post-production employees working as film or video editors, audio engineers, or motion graphics and animation artists will find an array of courses available to upgrade their skills.
Approved companies may send eligible employees to Video Symphony for up to 56 hours of subsidized training.
Avid Media Composer, Final Cut Pro, Pro Tools, After Effects, Maya and Cinema 4D courses are among the popular choices from more than 100 available classes.
"We have been awarded this new contract because of our successful 12-year track record with ETP," Video Symphony's president, Mike Flanagan, said. "Now our clients can keep up with today's rapidly-evolving technological advances. Even small growing companies can afford access to top-level training for their staff for minimal out-of-pocket cost."
Since 1998, thousands of employees at hundreds of companies have received over 120,000 hours of digital media training worth several million dollars through ETP training at Video Symphony.
Video Symphony Pro School for Media Production is a career institute for professional-level video and film editing, audio engineering, and motion graphics & animation, providing job-centric skills for hundreds of students each year at its two Burbank training facilities.
