Cadcentre Signs Foster Wheeler to Level-Based Pricing Program

(July 26, 2001)
Cadcentre licensed its integrated suite of lifecycle process plant engineering software solutions to Foster Wheeler of Clinton, New Jersey, USA. Foster Wheeler willto pay Cadcentre on the basis of specific levels of use of each solution component. The arrangement means that all Foster Wheeler’s engineers can gain access to Cadcentre applications anytime, anywhere.

Foster Wheeler provides engineering services and products to a broad range of industries, including the petroleum and gas, petrochemical, pharmaceutical, chemical processing, and power-generation industries.

As a result of the agreement with Cadcentre, any Foster Wheeler engineer at any business unit office can access Cadcentre’s current products on demand via a ‘pool’ of available global licenses. Tracking functionality of usage levels of different solutions will enable Foster Wheeler to identify how often specific solutions are used for particular projects. The flexible licensing solution enables Foster Wheeler to rapidly deploy engineering IT resources to project teams globally whenever they are required. The agreement also provides Foster Wheeler with lifecycle integration tools to enable consistency across systems, and downstream benefits to clients, during operations and maintenance.

Richard Longdon, Cadcentre chief executive states: “Cadcentre has been successfully working with Foster Wheeler for a number of years, but to date the focus has been with separate business units in different geographical areas. We are delighted that our new flexible licensing system has been adopted globally by Foster Wheeler.”
He continued: “Cadcentre has been investing heavily in expanding its global presence and we now have a first-class international office network to support such license agreements.”
