CWA E-Learning Series Delivers Continuing Education Opportunities for Construction Writers(April 11, 2012)
CHICAGO, IL -- (Marketwire) -- 04/11/12 -- The Construction Writers Association's (CWA) 2011-12 CWA E-Learning series is giving writers and marketing communicators in the construction industry expanded education opportunities - right from their own desk. First launched in September 2011, the CWA E-Learning Series is designed to help construction writers' and marketing communicators' in their careers and businesses.
These interactive webinars turn offices into virtual classrooms, where journalists, marketing/communications professionals and other construction writers can learn about the latest trends, information and innovations in the construction industry and ask questions during the presentations.

-- "Effectively Managing a Crisis in Today's Digital Age," presented by Jim Baty, technical director, Tilt-Up Concrete Association and Concrete Foundations Association; Brian Gallagher, director of marketing, O'Neal, Inc.; Wendy Ward, senior vice president, Constructive Communication Inc.; and Aileen Cho, senior editor, Engineering News-Record, 12:00 p.m. Noon Central, May 23, 2012. This webinar will share insight from several perspectives - a journalist, public relations professional, industry association manager and a marketer for a construction company - about real-world experiences and tips for effectively communicating in a crisis situation.
-- "Social Media Trends in the A/E/C Industry," presented by Christopher Parsons, founder and CEO, Knowledge Architecture; and James Kent, chief marketing and communications officer, Thornton Tomasetti; 12:00p.m., Noon Central, June 13, 2012. This webinar will focus on trends and case studies illustrating the changing nature of social media in the A/E/C industry. Parsons will review findings from a recently completed study of 250 of the largest A/E/C firms in the United States. Kent will present a methodology to explore social media behavior and show the differences in how architects and engineers behave in the social media milieu, which also has relevance to construction firms.
