CPI Card Group Selected by CQR Payment Group for Card Personalization and Encryption

CPI Card Group (CPI), a global leader in financial and commercial card production, EMV cards and related services, announced today that the company has been selected by payment service provider CQR Payment Group to provide card production, personalization and encryption services for a variety of innovative CQR payment products.

Vincento Payment Solutions Ltd, part of CQR Payment Group, has worked with CPI to deliver moneto, the direct to consumer NFC prepaid mobile wallet app for the iPhone. The wallet uses MasterCard® PayPass technology, DeviceFidelitys iCaisse4X case and CPIs personalized microSD technology to enable tap & go iPhone payments at nearly 500 thousand merchant locations in 41 countries. Powered by CQRs issuing, processing and acquiring technology, moneto is a truly comprehensive solution that provides the convenience, control, and flexibility of prepaid payments in a secure and mobile environment. The product will be launched in the UK later this year with other European markets to follow.

CPI also produces CQRs award winning contactless Kalixa® card, a combined e-wallet and prepaid card solution, which is designed for customers who wish to shop in a secure online environment as well as being able to use the card in physical shops. The Kalixa card launched in 2009 and is currently available in the UK, Italy and Germany.
