DMN Newswire--2009-5-21--Company X is pleased to announce that Editor Lisa Mogol is joining the company. She will be working with the studio's award-winning roster, which includes Editors Barney Miller, Bruce Ashley, Terence Ziegler, Robert Mead and Ilya Magazanin.

"Lisa makes a great first impression when you meet her," says Miller, Founder of Company X. "To the point where if I were a client, I'd book her on a job without even looking at her reel. Then, when you also see what great work she does, it becomes a no-brainer. Her enthusiasm for editing and overall work ethic are so obvious from the get go, which made our decision to hire her that much easier. We're very excited to have her here at Company X."

"Company X was my first choice," adds Mogol. "Beyond the great talent, it was important to surround myself with people who are comfortable, easygoing, and sincere. You spend so many hours working as an editor. There's no pretense or attitude here. Barney also encouraged me to explore creative projects outside of advertising ? which is one of my passions."

Mogol comes to Company X with experience in commercials, documentaries and music videos. She was most recently at Mad River Post where she worked on a wide range of projects including campaigns for Exxon, Kleenex, La Quinta, Charmin, Marshalls, and Vault Soda, doc-style shows for Sports Illustrated, which aired on TNT, as well as music videos for Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Hopewell and Travis.

Recently, Mogol edited a short documentary on Ralph Lauren that launched after Fashion Week this past March exploring the designer's "Heroines" and his creative process. The 5 ½-minute piece can currently be seen at Mogol also created a :30 version for the website and in Ralph Lauren stores.

After graduating with a degree in Visual Film, Mogol went to Lost Planet as a second assistant before working as an editor at Dominion Post on documentaries and corporate videos. She took a two-year sabbatical to start her own handbag line, Lili, which brought her to New York -and ultimately, back into the world of film. As a freelance assistant editor, she worked at various companies including JumP, Consulate, Final Cut, 89 Editorial, Ohio Edit and Bug Editorial. She then joined the staff of Mad River Post where she assisted for three years before being promoted to editor.

Along with editing, Mogol loves to create in-depth sound effect beds that enhance and round out each story. "I think music is, by far, the hardest part of a spot. There's an art to mixing and blending music and sound effects. It's amazing to have strategic alliances with Shout It Out Loud Music and Sugarbox Studios. Working with their composers provides me with immediate access to tracks and creative musical input, so I can create content that's the best it can be. I wanted a company that brought all of my interests together ? and Company X offers me exactly that."
