CMS Updates ABSplus Software

Panther support added to backup system By Dave Nagel
CMS Peripherals has released a software update for its ABSplus, a line of backup storage systems for Macintosh and Windows. The new software adds support for Mac OS X 10.3 and is available now.

ABSplus is a FireWire-based automated backup and recovery system, a fully integrated hardware and software combination for automatic backup and restoration. CMS makes both portable and desktop versions, and both are bootable with a single keystroke on Mac OS 9 and Mac OS X. ABSplus also offers Automatic Launcher technology for automatically sensing when the device is connected and backing up the system. Incremental backups are triggered by plugging in the ABSplus portable device and on power-up or with a scheduled trigger.

The ABSplus software update is available now for Mac OS X. For more information, visit http://www.cmsproducts.com.
