Buzz Meets Technical Challenges For Campbells Select SoupProvides audio post services for new soup campaign featuring award-winning actor John Lithgow (November 22, 2005)
Buzz, the New York-based audio post and finishing boutique, recently provided BBDOs campaign for Campbells Select with a complement of mixing and creative finishing services for six spots featuring Oscar-nominated, Tony and Emmy-award winning actor John Lithgow. The 30-second spots (produced by world-renowned director David LaChapelle) each feature Lithgow singing about the virtues of the new line of soup on a vocal track, which Buzz later added to the spots during the post production process.
The perfect synchronization of the sound track was critical to the commercials. Buzzs untraditional pairing of high-end audio and finishing services under the same roof gave mixer Michael Marinelli and finisher/editor Peter Flack the freedom and flexibility to go back and forth between their two adjacent suites, tweaking the audio and shifting frames until the sync was flawless.
Crew Cuts Sherri Margulies and David Cornman edited the campaign; Quiet Man provides the visual effects, and original music was composed by Dirty Rotten Scoundrels composer and lyricist, David Yazbeck.
The 30-second spots in Campbells Select national television campaign)?Transformation, ?Irresistible, ?Not just Eating, ?Patio, ?Kitchen and ?Office) will air this fall, during prime-time programs such as, Apprentice Martha Stewart, West Wing, Boston Legal, Three Wishes, E-Ring, 7th Heaven, as well as during The Oprah Winfrey Show.
