Busy April for Sound On Sound RecordingMixing and engineering for a list of all star artists (May 13, 2005)
April was an extremely busy month featuring an all star list of artists, producers and engineers.
In Studio A (SSL 9072J), Olivia (G-Unit/ Interscope) was mixing with engineer Pat Viala: Paul Shaffer (Paul Shaffer Enterprises) was mixing with engineer Harvey Goldberg; Labba (Jive) was mixing with producer Grown Men Music and engineer Brian Stanley; Bobaflex (TVT) was mixing with Joe Viers and David Bendeth; Dropping Daylight (J/ Octone) was tracking with David Bendeth; Tony Yayo (G-Unit/ Interscope) was mixing with Pat Viala; and The Cringe was mixing with John Cusimano and Steve Hardy.
In Studio B (SSL 9072J), Kem (Universal) was mixing with producer Kem and engineer Ray Bardani: Latoya London (Eastbay Music/ Peak) was mixing with Barry Eastmond and Ray Bardani; CBS Sunday Morning was filming Rupert Holmes as he was tracking with Bojan Dugic; Hot Wright (Atlantic) was mixing with Hot Wright and Brian Stanley; and Neo (Def Jam) was mixing with Kevin 'KD' Davis.
In Studio C (Sony Oxford OXF-R3), Ice Cube (Cube Vision) was tracking with engineer Bojan Dugic; Noah (Jive) was tracking with D-Dot and Bojan Dugic; Macka Diamond (Koch) was tracking with Will Fulton and Arnold Mischkulnig; Butch Cassidy (Koch) was recording vocals with Bob Perry and Arnold Mischkulnig; Jeannie Ortega (Hollywood) was tracking with SPK & Kyze and Stevie Gorgioski; Yummy (Universal) was recording vocals with Roc Wilder and Angel; Hugh Fordin and Cynthia Daniels were mixing Whoopi Goldberg Live for DRG; Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir was tracking with BJ Goss; Thwak! Music was tracking a Trojan commercial spot with Tony Verderosa and Teddy K. / Christian Wicht; and Scarface (Koch) was tracking with Bob Perry and Kris Lewis/ Bojan Dugic.
In Studio D (ProTools/HD4), Sam Scarfo (Def Jam) was recording vocals with JR and Bojan Dugic: Capone (Koch) was tracking and mixing with engineer Alex Venguer: AZ (Koch) was mixing with Emile and Arnold Mischkulnig; and 216 (Universal/ Hustla Foundation) was editing with Derek Jackson and Arnold Mischkulnig.
