BulletScan S300 Document Scanner Named the BEST BUY by PCWorld(March 28, 2011)
Milpitas, CA (Vocus/PRWEB) March 28, 2011
iVina, Inc. announced today that PCWorld magazine awarded the BulletScan S300 color duplex document scanner its BEST BUY rating. The magazine's April 2011 edition "Reviews and Rankings" compared the BulletScan S300 with scanners made by Fujitsu, IRIS, Visioneer, and Plustek.
Among its reasons for naming the BulletScan S300 a BEST BUY, PCWorld noted features such as 1-Click scanning to Google Docs and to other cloud-based services including Evernote and YouSendIt, very accurate Optical Character Recognition (OCR) results, and the fastest scan-to-PDF times. "Our product design philosophy focuses on providing customers with top scanning performance, innovative productivity tools, ease-of-use, and outstanding customer support," said Murray L. Dennis, President and CEO of iVina, Inc. "PCWorld's recognition that the BulletScan S300 delivers the best combination of scanner performance, innovative document management capabilities, and great value is an exciting honor for us as a relatively new scanner brand."
PCWorld previously included the BulletScan S300 on its list of the "Best 100 Products of 2010". Also in 2010, the Business Equipment Research and Test Laboratories (BERTL) awarded the BulletScan S300 and BulletScan S400 its prestigious "BERTL's BEST Innovation Award in Scanning Technology". This award recognizes innovative technology that, in BERTL's expert opinion, establishes new standards for the product category and will most likely set near term product trends.
The BulletScan S300's two-in-one scanner design, small footprint, detachable mobile scanner module, color duplex capability, 30 image per minute scanning speed, advanced image processing features and powerful, yet easy-to-use work-flow software make it a most useful productivity tool in the office, on the road, or at home. When undocked, the S300 scanner module is a fully functional, USB-powered, duplex color mobile scanner. The BulletScan S300 comes bundled with BulletScan Manager software to set the scanner settings as well as ABBYY FineReader Technology for unmatched OCR accuracy, NewSoft Presto! Page Manager for document management, and Presto! BizCard Reader for contact management.
The BulletScan Manager software features an "Easy Mode" for novice users to create out-of-the-box, instant work flow profiles, as well as capability for more customization with an "Advanced Mode" option. The BulletScan Manager software provides up to six pre-set, 1-Click workflow configurations on the BulletScan S300: BulletScanTM to Google Docs, to Email, to PDF or Searchable PDF, to Word and to Print. The "Advanced Mode" allows users to easily customize combinations of file format, resolution, color profile, and scan-to destinations as well as to utilize several advanced image processing features normally found on scanners at twice its price.
All BulletScan products provide a 2-year warranty from date of purchase upon product registration, and are backed by iVina's U.S. based customer support organization. The BulletScan product line supports Microsoft Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7, as well as the Mac OS 10.5 or later operating systems. The BulletScan S300 has a list price of $299, and is available through national resellers such as amazon.com, buy.com, newegg.com, PCMall, and tigerdirect.com, among others.
