Bright Systems Opens European Service Centre(September 12, 2008)
DMN Newswire--2008-9-12--Bright Systems, Inc., developer of disk recording and data infrastructure technology, has reinforced its strategic expansion into the European digital post market with the opening of a dedicated European Service Centre. The new centre, based in Hamburg, Germany, is a response to increasing demand for BrightDrive media recording systems in Europe, the Middle East and Asia. It will enable Bright Systems to provide further local support and a wider range of technical services for its expanding customer base across all EMEA countries.
"There has been vigorous sales growth with widespread praise and recognition of BrightDrive from digital film communities throughout the EMEA region," said Peter Lambert, Vice President, Worldwide Sales, Bright Systems, Inc. "In response, we are making significant investment in resources by opening the new European Service Centre which will enable us to continue to offer fast, efficient and flexible support. It will also allow us to introduce a wider range of local services to ensure we maintain our high standards as our customer base expands."
A team of systems engineers and support personnel will initially staff the centre, headed up by Roger Beck, EMEA Senior Systems Engineer, who joined Bright in May 2007 to oversee technical services and pre-sales support for Europe. Beck has over 20 years experience in digital infrastructure having held senior IT and service support positions with leading media companies including Das-Werk. He also had his own IT services company for 6 years working with clients as such ARRI and Genesis Design, and with system facilities for various large companies including Siemens, Sennheiser, Toyota and Bosch. Erik Ullstrand, Systems Engineer, will also report into the new centre but will continue to be based in the UK.
Later this month, the new European Service Centre will be extended to include a systems laboratory which will give Bright a new power base in Europe for fulfilling additional customer service requirements.
Bright Systems' new European Service Centre is located in the redeveloped port district of the 'Media City' of Hamburg, within easy reach of the country's main transport networks. The European services team will work alongside the extensive support department in Bright Systems head office in Reno, USA, to help deliver outstanding services to its customers worldwide.
