Bright Announces Further Expansion of Business Team

Peter Sternlicht Joins Bright in Business and Market Development (April 02, 2009)
DMN Newswire--2009-4-2--Bright Systems, Inc., developer of disk recording and data infrastructure technology, is announcing further expansion of its business team with the appointment of Peter Sternlicht in Business and Market Development. One of Sternlicht's first responsibilities will be overseeing the roll-out of Bright's industry-breakthrough BrightDrive G2 File-Based Recording systems which will be debuted at NAB 2009.

As the founder of several production companies and creative start-up business units, and having held senior positions with leading postproduction facilities during his 30-year career, Sternlicht brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Bright Systems.

Before joining Bright, Sternlicht was a director and producer with the documentary film company, Running on Empty Productions in Los Angeles. Previously, he spent four years as executive vice president with Technicolor, Inc., in charge of design, operational planning and business strategy for the establishment of the Technique digital intermediate company. Prior to this, Sternlicht founded Rainmaker Digital Pictures' US operation in Los Angeles, where served as President and supervised construction of a high-tech visual effects facility for motion pictures and television. During the 90s, he held creative positions with The Post Group and Digital Magic in Los Angeles. Sternlicht has also won awards for his creative work, including the 1992 Prime Time Emmy Award for Outstanding Achievement in Visual Effects for Star Trek: The Next Generation, and has credits on of long string of successful Hollywood movies.
