Brick House Video Wins At IBC 2005British manufacturer leaves show with a STAR award (September 22, 2005)
Brick House Video was a winner at IBC 2005. The manufacturer of compact equipment received a thumbs up from TV Technology acknowledging the innovative technology of the Companys new Proteus standards converter and left the show with the publications STAR (Superior Technology Award Recipient) award.
The STAR Awards are designed to celebrate and showcase products that demonstrate an ability to help advance the acquisition and dissemination of audio and video in the professional video marketplace. A panel of judges consisting of TV Technology editors and columnists reviewed a variety of products, examined the technical applications and their overall contribution to the industry, and then submitted their award nominees.
Proteus, a highly compact and fully featured broadcast specification standards converter, sets a new benchmark for standards conversion at an extremely attractive price point. Most notably, Brick House has responded to growing industry concerns over lip sync errors by offering features, including fully integrated audio delay and synchronisation (up to several seconds), previously found only on much more expensive and bulky units.
The STAR joins several other awards Brick House Video has received at prior IBC and NAB exhibitions.
